Geoscience Co-Op/Intern
Where will you work:
Mosaic Potash Esterhazy is an underground potash mine located 90 kilometers south of Yorkton. It's split between three mine sites - K1, K2 and K3 which will be the largest, and one of the world's most competitive underground potash mines in the world.
Housing and relocation can be provided for qualified candidates.

A Geoscience Co-Op/Intern will gain hands-on experience contributing to geological analysis, operational enhancements, and environmental sustainability at Mosaic Potash Esterhazy, one of the world's most competitive underground potash mines. Full time Co-Op/Internship. Typically, 36-40 hours a week on site.
What will you do?

Day to day duties may include:Conducting fieldwork to support underground potash operations, focusing on ore control and extraction optimization. Assisting in geological surveys and data collection, contributing to mineral resource assessments. Collaborating with geoscientists, engineers, and environmental specialists to analyze geological data and support operational reports. Helping develop geological assessments and procedures to enhance efficiency and sustainability. Formulating solutions for mining process improvements, optimizing final product quality. Participation in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment Adhering to Mosaic's mission, guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies Communicating with various groups of personnel throughout the organization including management, plant operators, engineers (of various disciplines), tradespeople, and contractors Participating in department meetings and meetings specific to the project assignment Adhering to Mosaic's mission, safety guiding principles and priorities, and key competencies.

What do you need for this role?Second year or higher pursuing a bachelor's degree in Earth Sciences, Geological Sciences or Geological Engineering 72% Percentage or higher. 1-2 years of experience volunteering, working with student/school organizations, or work is preferred. Previous internship or co-op experience is preferred. Reliable transportation and valid driver's license - You will need to be able to travel to and from sites and/or office. Ability to work full time and be a student in standing at the time of the co-op/internship Selected candidates will be required to successfully complete the following: Post-offer/pre-placement drug and alcohol screening, background check, physical, functional capacity examination. Basic computer skills are required. Experience working in a team environment is a must. Familiarity with an industrial environment is highly desirable. Effective verbal communication skills is a plus. Physical work environment is occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying degrees of hot and cold environments.
