About Brucejack
Our Brucejack Gold Mine, a high-grade underground mine in beautiful northern British Columbia, is located approximately 65 kilometres north of Stewart. Brucejack is a fly-in/fly-out operation with pick-up points across Western Canada, making it easy for people from different places to join us. We work closely with local First Nations communities including the Nisga'a, Tahltan, Gitanyow, and Gitxsan, to build respectful partnerships and celebrate our shared community.

Your Impact
As a Project Geologist, you'll play a key role in advancing Newmont's exploration success by executing high-quality geological programs and supporting data-driven decisions. You'll contribute to the design, execution, and evaluation of exploration activities while maintaining safety, compliance, and technical excellence across all geological operations.

As part of our team you will
Execute exploration programs including core logging, sampling, geological interpretations, and modelling
Monitor drilling activities, manage QA/QC on survey and assay data, and ensure accurate records
Conduct in-field inspections and participate in incident investigations when required
Support planning and scheduling of exploration activities to meet weekly and monthly objectives
Adapt exploration plans in response to geological results and field conditions
Prepare technical reports, program proposals, and progress summaries
Review and verify partner timesheets and ensure data quality control
Mentor and provide technical guidance to Geologists, Geologists-in-Training, and core shed technicians
Propose updates to SOPs, standards, and guidelines to improve efficiency and safety
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve exploration goals

Prerequisites for your success in this role
Degree in Geological Sciences or related discipline
Professional registration (P.Geo) or eligibility for immediate registration with EGBC
5+ years' experience in mineral exploration or geological project execution
Strong understanding of ore deposit models, structural geology, geochemistry, and geotechnical principles
Experience in drilling program management and exploration data interpretation
Proficiency with geological software (Leapfrog, Deswik, Acquire)
Strong technical writing, reporting, and presentation skills
Effective communication and collaboration skills across multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory standards
