Job Description

Clark Exploration is seeking a reliable and motivated Geological Technician to support our field and diamond drilling exploration programs across Ontario. The successful candidate will assist geologists with core handling, sampling, data collection, and when required, field operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, outdoor environments, and contributing to active mineral exploration projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with receiving, organizing, teching and photographing drill core. Assist with marking sample intervals and prepare samples for cutting, bagging, and shipment. Conduct geotechnical measurements such as RQD, recovery, fracture density, and orientation. Maintain accurate and organized core storage facilities. Assist geologists with fieldwork, including outcrop mapping support, soil/rock sampling, and GPS data collection, when required. Perform data entry, labeling, and QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Operate and maintain field and core shack equipment safely and effectively. Support general camp and site logistics as required (e.g., inventory, sample dispatch, equipment upkeep). Follow all site-specific safety policies and participate in daily safety meetings.
Qualifications:

Diploma or degree in geology, earth sciences, environmental sciences, or related field (asset but not required). Previous experience in mineral exploration, core handling, or fieldwork is an asset--but training can be provided for the right candidate. Ability to work in remote locations and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Ability to lift and carry heavy core boxes (up to 50 lbs). Basic GPS, field navigation, and computer skills (Excel, data entry). Valid driver's license; first aid or WHMIS certification considered an asset.
Work Conditions:

Camp-based or site-based work environments depending on project location. Rotational schedules (e.g., 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, 22 days on / 12 days off) Travel and accommodations provided during field rotations. Physically active role that includes lifting core boxes and working outdoors.
