Reporting to the Lead Geological Modeler, the Geological Modeler will play a central role in developing and refining 3D geological models that support resource estimation, mine planning, and exploration targeting at Talisker Resources. Based in our Vancouver office with occasional travel to the Bralorne mine site, the Geological Modeler will work to ensure that geological interpretations are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current exploration and drilling data.
Key Responsibilities
Working with the Exploration and Resource Development teams, the Geological Modeler will be responsible for the following:
Development and refinement of 3D geological models through interval selection, domain interpretation, and generation of wireframes to support mineral resource estimation and mine planning
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including exploration, mine geology, and mine engineering to deliver accurate and timely models that meet the operational and planning needs of each department
Integration and interpretation of geoscientific data (e.g., drill hole, assay, and structural data) to support modeling efforts and exploration strategies
Contribution to exploration target generation and validation through geological modeling and data analysis
Support in the development and application of QA/QC protocols for geological data used in modeling and resource estimation
Knowledge sharing and collaboration with geologists and technical teams, including mentoring and support for skills development related to modeling software and interpretation
Preparation of professional documentation, reports, and presentations outlining geological models, methodologies, assumptions, and interpretations
Qualifications
Post-secondary degree in Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field
Experience in geological modeling and resource estimation workflows considered an asset
Geological modeling and GIS software proficiency considered an asset
Experience with coding, automation, and database management considered an asset
Strong understanding of structural geology, mineralization systems, and QA/QC practices
Experience working with geoscientific data (drill holes, assays, etc.)
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Collaborative mindset with the ability to share knowledge and mentor team members
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
Eligible to work in Canada

Compensation Range:
CA$75,000.00-CA$90,000.00 per year, depending on experience
