Job description:
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking General Warehouse Labourer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks within the warehouse, such as loading and unloading trucks, organizing, and moving inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be able to work well in a team, and be comfortable with physical labour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload trucks using manual and motorized equipment.
- Move inventory to and from storage areas using pallet jacks or forklifts.
- Pick and pack orders for shipment.
- Keep the warehouse organized and tidy, including sweeping and cleaning spills.
- Maintain a safe working environment by following safety protocols and reporting any potential hazards.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and work as part of a team.
- Assist with inventory management, including counting and organizing stock.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
- Comfortable with physical labour, including lifting to 35 pounds and standing for extended periods of time.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods of time.
