Job Overview:

The successful candidate will contribute to the day-to-day operational running of Inspired Tots and will help to create an exciting visitor experience. Contribute to the overall impression & experience, including the play areas, birthday parties, & splatter room, working to exceed guest expectations. This person will work mostly Saturdays & Sundays.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

- Ensuring that guests of all ages at Inspired Tots are safe & secure at all times, & that equipment and facilities are kept clean in accordance with Health & Safety regulations

- Ability to enforce and monitor guest compliance with rules and regulations.

- Entertaining kids and helping them with art materials/activities.

- Attending to individual guests needs as they arise and ensure exemplary customer service at all times.

- To contribute towards / assist in ensuring the efficient running of the facility at all times, the admission area where guests are welcomed/checked in, the party area, etc. up to & including keeping washrooms fully stocked for customer use.

- Cleaning, stocking, & supplying all designated facility areas (Dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, restroom cleaning etc.) as well performing / documenting routine inspection / maintenance activities

- Heavy cleaning tasks as required, maintaining garbage & recycling areas and follow health and safety regulations

- Proper cash handling including, greeting & servicing guests at the front desk, taking orders, accepting payments.

- Adherence to uniform policy and grooming standards - must present a neat, professional appearance

- Report to the manager and work well on a team with the other colleagues, contributing towards the management of the play equipment, retail product, party facilities, etc.

- Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area

-Other duties as required by management.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

- Clean criminal background check, with vulnerable sector. Updated annually. (Can be done after job offer)

- Prior cash handling & experience with POS systems

- People management and customer service skills

- Knowledge of relevant health and safety issues surrounding childcare - beneficial.

- A good understanding of the English language both verbal and written at all levels.

- Excellent organizational skills required with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

- Outgoing, friendly, enthusiastic, confident, authoritative, be pleasant, & professional while dealing with children, parents, colleagues etc..

- Have the ability to use own initiative & work well in a team environment. Ability to share best practices with colleagues to achieve the overall goals / target

- Must be comfortable working with children of all ages & abilities.

- First aid/cpr certificate within 60 days after probationary period.

- Must be comfortable working in a fast paced, noisy environment

- Weekend availability a MUST (summer schedule to be discussed)

- Experience working with children

Wage Range: $15.60 - $17.50 based on experience
