What You'll Be Doing

Keeping buildings and property in clean and orderly condition. Performing routine maintenance activities. Performing heavy cleaning duties. Sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming floors. Gathering and emptying trash. Scrubbing, sanitizing, and stocking restroom facilities. All food-contact surfaces are scrubbed, sanitized, and stocked. Dusting furniture, walls, and equipment. Cleaning windows, mirrors, and partitions with soap and other cleansers. Cleaning solutions and chemicals must be mixed and handled in containers according to instructions and in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety guidelines and procedures, including WHIMIS. Following procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Managing the inventory of cleaning supplies. Notifying managers regarding the need for repairs or additions to building operating systems. Performing snow removal, if applicable. Salting the sidewalks and walkways around the store when ice is a concern. Keeping external facilities free of garbage and other hazards. Representing ICS both in and out of the store. Adhering to all food safety protocols, standard operating procedures, health and safety policies, and other programs and initiatives. Other duties as required.

We are willing to train the right candidate but most successful candidates possess these:

High School or GED from an accredited school system or program is preferred. A minimum of one year experience in a customer focused role

Skills and Abilities

Excellent listening skills and communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work under pressure, while maintaining a professional image at all times Work independently with little direct supervision Have a well-balanced concern for both task and people Have a genuine concern for needs of customers

Working conditions

Job requires employee to work a variety of shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Job also requires employee to work with challenging customers and/or situations. Employees will be exposed to cold temperatures when accessing our frozen goods section and refrigerated areas.

Long periods of standing and walking Frequent bending and twisting Manual and repetitive tasks * Individuals will be required to lift, move, and push up to 50 lbs.
