Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Variable Department to drive business results and profitability while maximizing employee engagement and enhancing the customer experience.Bridge City is well established dealership which joined the Davis Auto Group family of businesses in August 2023.   • Oversee the New, Used and Finance operations while supporting and holding the team accountable to achieving current business and productivity goals
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with customers, ensuring our employees make customer satisfaction a priority to create customer loyalty and generate referrals
  • Work with other leaders in the dealership to promote a strong culture based on the four core values of the Davis Auto Group. Family, Teamwork, Community, and Integrity
  • Train, coach and mentor the entire Variable Department team on best practices for closing deals and provide advice and guidance to improve sales performance and develop a performance mindset throughout the team
  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management of employees while taking an active role in developing talent for the future
  • Meet with the General Manager to review monthly forecasts, commission sheets, productivity reports, and the profit performance of each department as a whole and each sales team individually
  • Keep abreast of all the manufacturer\'s current product and promotions and communicates changes to the sales team
  • Maintain effective communication within the sales department and with other leaders in the dealership; working together to identify opportunities and resolve issues
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual dealership forecast by projecting unit sales, gross profits, expenses, and operating profits for the new-and used-sales departments
  • Performs other tasks and duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Proven leadership ability and teambuilding skills to effectively motivate, inspire and manage employees
  • Excellent knowledge of variable department operations within a dealership with the ability to read and analyze financial statements
  • A team player committed to working with leadership and employees to ensure goal alignment and achievement
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with a continuous improvement pedigree
  • Results driven with exceptional planning, organization and execution skills and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills including the ability to use tact, sensitivity, empathy and professionalism when interacting with customers and employees
  • 3-5 years\' experience in the automotive sales industry with experience in a leadership capacity is preferred
  • Post secondary education in dealership management, business or a related area of study would be an asset
  • A valid Driver\'s License
