MENOPAUSE PHYSICIAN

Our original clinic, Isis Women's Health Clinic was formed in 2011 in Calgary. Since 2020, we have been building out our vision to offer more multi disciplinary services for our patients in one location. Our founders, Drs. Baranowski, Coughlan, Mahalingham and Suri are part of a larger group of 18 obstetricians and gynecologists who practice out of Foothills Medical Centre.

In March 2023, we moved to our new location in NW Calgary where we are looking for additional physicians to meet the needs of our patients.

THE OPPORTUNITY - MENOPAUSE PHYSICIAN

Our clinic is presently recruiting for another MD to join our menopause practice that has been building over the last two years. In collaboration with Avivo's founders and Menopause Physician this role will be responsible for continuing to evolve the menopause practice. This is a referral-based clinic.. The successful candidate will be licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta. In addition to having an area of focus that includes perimenopause, menopause and symptoms of hormone change, the MD will also currently have or be willing to obtain their Menopause Society Certified Practitioner certification (formerly NAMS certification).

THE CANDIDATE

In addition to the job responsibilities listed below, the following competencies listed below are key requirements of this position:

MD Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (not sponsorship eligible). Currently have or willing to obtain the NAMS certification (North American Menopause Society); 0.10 to 0.20 FTE

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Using the most up to date

medical evidence, the menopause Physician will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating and providing follow up care to patients.
