Position Title: General Packaging LabourerPosition Type: Temporary - Full-Time xe2x80x8bPosition Location: Florenceville PotatoRequisition ID: 33533McCain Foods (Canada) Florenceville Potato Processing Plant is currently looking for four temporary General Packaging Labourers to join our team. This is a day position and will include assisting our Packaging Department with general duties.DUTIES:

• Responsible for following all safety requirements.
• Material handling of 25 kg boxes and bags.
• Responsible for following change over policy and requirements.
• Responsible for some sanitation duties
• Trouble shoot, adjust and maintain equipment as required.
• Must follow xe2x80x9cGood Manufacturing Practicesxe2x80x9d (GMPxe2x80x99s) and Critical Control Points (CCPxe2x80x99s).
• Ensure SQCDPE targets are met by understanding and goal setting of KPIxe2x80x99s.
• Relay information to other Team members as an area Lead (Key Area Resource).
• Follow JHAxe2x80x99s and work safely. Participate in STEP program (Behavioral safety observations)
• Dealing with production issues, working in a fast-paced team environment
• Participate in Team meetings, as required.
• Responsible for the yearly completion of the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) training and evaluation.
• Complete core curriculum E-learning courses
• All additional duties as they become assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 education or GED
• Basic computer skills would be an asset
• Ability to work well with plant supervision and production employees
• Team player with excellent attendance
• Successful completion of 90 day training period
• Must have good mathematical skills and complete production forms accurately and neatly
• Demonstrate continuous initiatives and involvement
• Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment adapting to and embracing change as it occurs.
• Potential for some weekend/night shift work as required.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate xe2x80x9csafety firstxe2x80x99xe2x80x99 on a continual basis.
