McCain Foods (Canada) is currently seeking a General Operator to join our Valley Farm Team in Grand Falls, N.B. for the Spring/Fall Harvest. JOB GRADE: Depends on Qualification
DUTIES & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Truck Driver License \xe2\x80\x93 Class 3 (Air Brakes)
- Ability to operate farm machinery, SS Loader, Forklift
- Valid Pesticide License (not required but would be an asset)
- Background in Agriculture would be an asset
- Capable of performing General Maintenance
- Responsible for following all safety requirements
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team environment
- Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
- Team player with excellent attendance
- Highly motivated, observant with good initiative and a positive attitude
- Willing and able to work long hours and weekends
- Must follow \xe2\x80\x9cGood Manufacturing Practices\xe2\x80\x9d (GMP\xe2\x80\x99s)
- Grade 12 education or GED would be an asset
- Must possess a good safety record and demonstrate \xe2\x80\x9csafety first\xe2\x80\x99\xe2\x80\x99 on a continual basis
- Foster and promote a safe work environment
- Ability to lift 25-30lb and at times excess of 50lbs
- All additional duties as they become assigned
