Role Overview
We are seeking a General Manager for our new facility in Winnipeg. This role is responsible for the successful day-to-day operation of the park and will play a key role in building, leading, and supporting the on-site management structure and frontline APEX Family members as the facility launches. The General Manager reports directly to the Managing Partners.
The ideal candidate is passionate about active entertainment, demonstrates strong leadership skills, and brings several years of management experience. This position plays a critical role within a rapidly growing Western Canadian company and offers opportunities for ongoing training and development. Evening and weekend availability is required.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Culture
Professionally represent APEX Trampoline Park at all times
Continuously develop as an individual and as part of the APEX Family
Foster a positive, energetic, and engaging park environment
Lead, mentor, and oversee all on-site APEX Family members
Operations Management
Ensure equipment maintenance procedures are consistently followed
Coordinate timely repair or replacement of damaged equipment
Oversee large groups, parties, and social events
Continuously review and improve operational procedures
Track and maintain accurate inventory levels
Uphold brand standards by maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming facility
Ensure group bookings and confirmations are completed accurately and in a timely manner
Identify, address, and resolve safety concerns promptly
Human Resources & Training
Maintain appropriate staffing levels and issue schedules in a timely manner
Execute internal training and onboarding programs
Protect, promote, and reinforce company culture
Complete quarterly performance reviews for APEX Family members
Guest Experience & Public Relations
Ensure all external communications are timely, professional, and on-brand
Resolve guest concerns and manage dissatisfied customer situations effectively
Execute marketing initiatives as directed by the Marketing Team
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of experience in a management or leadership role (hospitality, entertainment, retail, or recreation preferred)
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Experience scheduling staff and managing labour efficiently
Comfort handling guest concerns and resolving issues professionally
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
Knowledge of workplace safety standards; experience in safety-focused environments is an asset
Familiarity with the Winnipeg customer market or local community is considered a strong asset
