WOW! Hospitality is pleased to present " Uptown F+B". This concept will be housed on the main level of the upscale, world-class 33-storey skyscraper in the heart of Downtown Winnipeg, 201 Portage Ave. 201 Portage boasts more than 500,000 square feet of office, retail and meeting space and will be having more than 1,500 souls working within when it is back to the office time.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspiring and leading their dedicated team of hospitality professionals. The General Manager is the face of the business and ultimately responsible for curating the perfect dining experience for our diverse clientele.

The General Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operation of the restaurant, including staffing, cost controls, training, budgeting, administration as well as active floor management during service.

Responsibilities

Total overall P&L responsibility with the objective of optimizing profits for this restaurant.

Build and maintain relationships with guests, team members and executive team to realize WOW! goals.

Create an engaging and energetic atmosphere where all team members work to the common goal of guest satisfaction.

communicate and reinforce the vision to all team members and lead by example.

liase with team to provide exceptional service from entry to dessert.

recruitment and development of team members.

lead compliance of company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

5-10 years of related hospitality experience, including 3 years management responsibility.

Fine dining hospitality environment is an asset.

Must have a strong business acumen and possess superior communication skills.

superior knowledge of food and wine, WSET 3 an asset.

Ability to demonstrate extreme organization in a fast paced environment while acting as a team player and leader of integrity.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large and variable workload with impeccable timing and attention to detail.
