Our success lies on the passion and determination embodied by our entire team, who take pride in meeting the unique needs of our clients Job Summary We are looking for an organized, experienced and highly-motivated terminal manager who is looking for an opportunity for growth, within a forward-thinking organization. Your leadership qualities and your expertise in operations management will be put to full use in this leadership role, being responsible for terminal and vessels operations at our marine terminal located in Windsor Ontario. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will plan, organize and coordinate terminal and vessels operations (bulk) to ensure fulfilling of customer requirements, operational efficiency and storage space optimization. You will lead your team made up of warehouse in an engaging way and will act as an ambassador of ETR\'s values. You will drive terminal, marine, rail and truck trans-loading operations to meet operational targets in terms of health and safety, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, leadership and sustainable development. Main Responsibilities ENSURE A SAFE WORKPLACE \xc2\xb7 Ensures the application of safe work methods and compliance with operating standards \xc2\xb7 Nurtures a culture of occupational health and safety prevention \xc2\xb7 Measures the level of OHS compliance, conduct field audits, participates in HSE investigations and supervise application of corrective action plans ENSURE OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE AND MEETING OBJECTIVES \xc2\xb7 Plan and coordinate railcars loading/unloading and ensure efficient storage of cargo \xc2\xb7 Lead all aspects of vessels loading/unloading, ensuring proper loading sequences and proper cargo \xc2\xb7 Liaises with customers to order and release railcars shipments \xc2\xb7 Assesses labour and equipment required to roll out the weekly tracking appointment schedule \xc2\xb7 Prepares and updates storage plans \xc2\xb7 Prepares shipment documentation and summary report on operational KPI\xe2\x80\x99s \xc2\xb7 Ensure all customs paperwork is in order, in coordination with customer needs MEET OUR COMMITMENTS TO OUR CUSTOMERS \xc2\xb7 Provides quality customer service to build customer loyalty and develop lasting partnerships \xc2\xb7 Intervenes effectively to resolve service issues \xc2\xb7 Ensures the application of standard operating procedures to meet or exceed the quality requirements and expectations of our customers ENSURE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT \xc2\xb7 Ensures that all operational practices meet the policies, procedures and regulations in force aimed at protecting the environment \xc2\xb7 Monitors compliance of operational practices with environmental standards and conduct field audits MOBILIZE, SUPPORT AND SUPERVISE TEAMS \xc2\xb7 Guides, develops and mobilizes the teams to achieve the objectives set \xc2\xb7 Lead clerk team to ensure proper organization of rail and trucking needs and ensure deliverables are met as scheduled \xc2\xb7 Applies best practices related to workforce management, training, and work schedules \xc2\xb7 Communicates orientations, objectives and action plans and ensures the application of best practices in contribution management Requirements & Qualifications \xc2\xb7 College degree in management, transport logistics, or any other related discipline \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management \xe2\x80\x93 preferably in marine, rail, logistics or heavy construction project management /superintendent \xc2\xb7 Practical experience in the application of preventive measures in occupational health and safety, continuous improvement processes, supervision and project management \xc2\xb7 Engaging leadership, holding accountability \xc2\xb7 Confident and capable of overseeing large projects. Effective project management skills \xc2\xb7 Customer focus, building relationships and customer interface \xc2\xb7 Planning and organizing skills \xc2\xb7 Communication skills \xc2\xb7 Availability to work flexible hours where necessary (weekends and evening hours where needed) \xc2\xb7 Working with Director of Operations for planning Capital Budgets \xc2\xb7 Experience with Payroll systems and ensuring proper payroll management for employees Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Salary: $90,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Benefits:
