As they continue to grow, now looking for a dynamic and results-driven Trucking Manager to join the leadership team in this exciting, newly created role.Looking for a General Trucking Manager who can oversee the business of courier, trucking and warehousing (mainly trucking side of the business). Reporting directly to the owner and working closely with the other managers, the General Manager will play a pivotal role in driving continued success. - Lead the development and execution of strategic business plans to achieve ambitious company goals
- Oversee and mentor our team fostering a high-performance, results-oriented culture
- Analyze financial data and industry trends to guide decision-making and identify growth opportunities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to expand service offerings and drive business development
- Ensure the company remains compliant with industry regulations and safety standards
- Manage day-to-day business responsibilities, optimizing processes to enhance productivity, efficiency, and profitability
- Build trust and collaboration with key stakeholders, including all government levels, industry associations, and partners across the logistics value chain.
- Guide and support the Board of Directors with strategic insights and updates.
- Lead initiatives to shape policy positions that advance the logistics & warehousing sector.
- Work closely with national and regional partners to present unified, science-based stances on key issues such as labor, sustainability, and safety.Qualifications
- 10 years of Senior management experience in logistics, trucking, warehousing, or a related industry
- Experience with cross-border trucking
- Proven ability to lead business growth and drive operational excellence
- Experience in contracts, proposals and RFP's
- Strong financial management, budgeting, and analytical skills
- Outstanding leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience managing diverse stakeholders and a team.
- Strong knowledge of industry best practices and organizational financial management.
- A track record in government relations, with experience influencing policy and outcomes.
- Familiarity with public policy and the political landscape, particularly in logistics & warehousing.
- Experience in a membership-driven organization with a grassroots focus.
- Excellent communication skills, including media experience (an asset).
- A proactive, solution-focused mindset with resilience under pressure.Summary
