The Ballroom Bowl is the original entertainment destination located in the heart of Toronto's entertainment district. We offer a unique combination of corporate events, sports, bowling, and dj weekends, along with a great selection of food and craft cocktails. Our mission is to provide endless entertainment, joy, and connection to every Torontonian looking for a good time. With two expansive floors that can accommodate up to 850 guests, we are also the perfect venue for hosting private parties, social gatherings, and corporate events.

Yonge and Dundas



This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager at The Ballroom Bowl Yonge and Dundas.

The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the bowling and entertainment facility's operations, including staff management, customer service, financial performance, and facility maintenance. The GM is expected to lead by example, create a fun and engaging environment, and ensure that the facility meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Operations Management:

- Ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility, including bowling lanes, arcade games, food and beverage services, and other entertainment offerings.

- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to optimize efficiency and guest satisfaction.

- Monitor and manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards.

2. Staff Management:

- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of employees, including front-of-house and back-of-house staff.

- Create employee schedules, assign duties, and conduct performance evaluations.

- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork and providing staff with the necessary tools and training to excel.

3. Guest Service:

- Ensure exceptional customer service is consistently delivered and address any customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.

- Develop and implement customer feedback mechanisms to improve the guest experience.

4. Financial Management:

- Develop and manage the facility's budget, including revenue projections, cost control, and financial reporting.

- Implement pricing strategies and promotional activities to drive revenue and profitability.

- Analyze financial data and make informed decisions to achieve financial targets.

5. Marketing and Promotion:

- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop marketing and advertising campaigns to attract and retain customers.

- Utilize social media, email marketing, and other promotional channels to reach the target audience.

- Monitor the effectiveness of marketing efforts and adjust strategies as needed.

6. Safety and Compliance:

- Ensure that the facility complies with all relevant safety regulations and health codes.

- Implement and enforce safety protocols for both staff and customers.

- Maintain necessary permits and licenses.

7. Facility Maintenance:

- Oversee regular maintenance and repairs of bowling lanes, arcade games, and other equipment.

- Coordinate with maintenance staff or contractors to ensure the facility is in top condition.

8. Strategic Planning:

- Develop long-term strategies and business plans to drive growth and expansion.

- Identify opportunities for diversification and improvement in services and amenities.
