General Manager
to oversee core business functions and drive efficiency across the organization.
Reporting directly to the President and Vice President, this is a hands-on leadership role suited for a proven operator who thrives in small business environments, where adaptability and cross-functional expertise are critical. The General Manager will be responsible for daily operations, team leadership, and strategic alignment to support company growth in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and optimize key operational areas, including shipping, sampling, receiving, and quality assurance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Lead the Client Services department to strengthen customer relationships, resolve issues, and elevate service standards.
Manage purchasing and procurement, including vendor negotiations, inventory control, and cost-effective sourcing.
Direct Cut & Sew operations, ensuring production efficiency, team performance, and adherence to quality standards.
Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning, operational goals, and performance metrics.
Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Recruit, train, and manage staff across multiple departments while fostering a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications such as PMP or Six Sigma preferred).
7-10 years of progressive experience in operations or general management, ideally in small business environments requiring multi-department oversight.
Proven expertise in supply chain and logistics, including shipping, receiving, procurement, and quality assurance.
Demonstrated success leading client-facing teams and production operations, preferably within manufacturing or related industries.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a history of implementing process improvements in resource-constrained settings.
Exceptional leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and collaborate with executive leadership.
Proficiency in ERP and inventory management software, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
Flexible, adaptable, and able to excel in a small business culture where priorities evolve quickly.
