Job Description


Overview

As General Manager, you are accountable for the sustained success, growth and overall management of the restaurant as measured by the total revenue and net income in relation to budgeted goals and objectives. You will be accountable for all day to day operational aspects of front of house and work in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager and Brewer. You will be developing your team in order exceed each guest`s expectations by maintaining the highest standards of food and beverage quality and superior service.

Major Responsibilities

\xc2\xb7 Prepare annual budgets and business plans;

\xc2\xb7 Achieve maximum sales and profits while maintaining good operations, standards and procedures;

\xc2\xb7 Analyze monthly income statements and action plan on any areas of opportunity;

\xc2\xb7 Increase sales and maximize profit by ensuring all P&L items are controlled and company objectives achieved;

\xc2\xb7 Recruit and maintain an hourly staff to ensure efficient operations of the restaurant;

\xc2\xb7 Ensure proper training of new team members ;

\xc2\xb7 Manage team member performance with clear feedback, recognition, reviews, coaching/training and discipline;

\xc2\xb7 Supervise and directs managers in daily activities;

\xc2\xb7 Maintain proper inventories, ensure compliance with proper cash handling procedures and complete all required accounting and administrative reports as required;

\xc2\xb7 Accountable for labour cost; labour forecasting, scheduling, managing costs within agreed upon targets;

\xc2\xb7 Works with the Kitchen Manager to ensure that every menu item is prepared to company standards and all food items are handled in accordance with the provincial health standards (receiving, storing, food handling, preparation and portioning);

\xc2\xb7 Maintains constant communication with the kitchen team to ensure proper service standards;

\xc2\xb7 Manages the guest experience by ensuring staffing levels match forecasted sales, initiating feedback from the guest and resolving any guest concerns ;

\xc2\xb7 Monitors guest feedback forums and responds quickly to guest concerns;

\xc2\xb7 Conducts regular manager and team member meetings;

\xc2\xb7 Any other responsibility related to your restaurant operations;

Your Profile

The ideal candidate for this full and rich position would:

  • Have a completed Skill Assessment from his Supervisor (essential condition);
  • Strong leadership and mobilization skills;
  • Highly motivated, capable of initiative and strong organizational skills;
  • Bilingual: You have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Provides a positive and professional image and is oriented towards exceptional service;
  • Passionate about the development of a team and the ability to create an environment conducive to the evolution of teamwork;
