About Mystery Lake Hotel

Mystery Lake Hotel is a 130-room facility located in the heart of Thompson,

Manitoba. Proudly situated on the reserve land of the Nisichawayasihk Cree

Nation, we offer warm hospitality, a VLT Bar, and a strong commitment to

community values. Conveniently located at 58 Cree Road, we serve as a

welcoming destination for both visitors and locals.

The Opportunity

We're looking for a results-driven and people-oriented General Manager to lead

our team. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of all hotel operations,

ensure financial success, and deliver exceptional guest experiences--all while

helping to build a strong and inclusive workplace.

Key Responsibilities

? Lead daily hotel operations including Front Desk, Housekeeping,

Maintenance, Bar & VLT services, and tenant management

? Provide strategic direction to achieve financial and service excellence

? Recruit, train, and mentor staff to build a motivated, high-performing team

? Uphold hotel brand standards and ensure guest satisfaction

? Drive revenue growth through smart sales and marketing initiatives

? Manage budgeting, cost controls, and financial reporting

? Maintain a safe, secure, and inclusive workplace environment

? Liaise with the parent company (NHDC) to ensure alignment with corporate

goals

? Champion environmentally sustainable practices within the hotel

? Perform additional tasks assigned

What We're Looking For

? 5+ years in hotel operations, including at least 3 years as a General

Manager

? Post-secondary diploma in hospitality or equivalent experience

? Experience with midscale or select-service brands; IHG experience is

strongly preferred

? Strong understanding of financial management, guest services, and

operational leadership

? Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills

? Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

? Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
