Habitat for Humanity Heartland Ontario's ReStores fund more homes and more hope. As the GM & Regional Distribution lead, you'll run our Flagship London ReStore like a top-tier retail operation and orchestrate efficient regional distribution so every location has the right product, at the right time, priced to move. Think retail excellence meets supply chain smarts.

Location: London, Ontario with regional travel (Stratford, Woodstock, St. Thomas, Brantford)

What success looks like (12-18 months)



Revenue & Margin Growth: Year-over-year sales and gross margin increases at the London ReStore and across the region. In-Stock & Turn: Faster processing of donations, improved product flow, and increased inventory turns. Experience & Standards: Consistent customer/donor experience scores and operational standards across all ReStores. Safety & Compliance: Zero lost-time injuries; strong health and safety adherence. Talent & Culture: Engaged staff/volunteers, clear expectations, and a strong coaching culture.

What You'll Do



Lead the Flagship ReStore (London)

Own daily operations, scheduling, merchandising, cash management, and P&L performance. Optimize floor layout, pricing, and promotions to accelerate sell-through and average transaction value. Ensure donation intake, triage, and processing meet quality and speed targets. Champion an exceptional customer and donor experience - warm, safe, and efficient.
Orchestrate Regional Distribution

Oversee regional logistics (intake ? processing ? allocation ? transfer) to Stratford, Woodstock, St. Thomas, and Brantford. Manage delivery, load building, and transfer schedules; minimize handling and transport costs. Set and enforce shared standards for pricing, product categorization, and shrink control. Track KPIs (in-stock %, days-to-floor, turns, transfer SLAs) and correct course quickly.
People Leadership

Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of assist managers, associates, drivers, and volunteers. Set clear goals; conduct regular check-ins and feedback; recognize great performance. Support training for safety, service, merchandising, POS, and donation processing.
Safety, Facilities & Compliance

Conduct inspections, lead safety talks, investigate incidents, and close corrective actions. Maintain equipment/facility checklists; escalate repairs proactively.
Partnerships & Donor Relations

Nurture relationships with builders, trades, manufacturers, retailers, and community partners to increase quality donations and sponsorships. Support marketing efforts (social posts, features, sales events) and community visibility.
Planning, Budget & Reporting

Build practical budgets and labor plans; manage payroll hours and productivity. Use data (sales, margin, turns, shrink, conversion) to make swift, informed decisions. Provide clear, regular reporting to the Director, ReStore Operations.

About you...



Retail Leadership: 5+ years leading high-volume retail (multi-site or distribution experience a strong asset). Ops & Logistics: Comfortable with routing, inventory flow, allocation, and back-of-house process design. People First: Proven coach who builds inclusive, accountable, high-energy teams (staff & volunteers). Data-Driven: You love KPIs, but you love acting on them even more. Great Communicator: Clear, respectful, and steady--on the floor, in the truck bay, and in the boardroom. Construction/Building Materials: Asset for pricing/valuation of donated goods. Tech Savvy: POS, inventory tools, MS Teams/Office/Outlook; willing to learn new systems. Requirements: Valid G driver's licence, reliable vehicle, clear police record check. Physical Capability: Able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk, and navigate stairs safely. Education: Business/Retail Management degree or certificate is an asset (nice-to-have, not a deal-breaker).
