Founded in 1991, Chair Decor is a national leader in the rental of specialty linens, tablecloths, chair covers, napkins, and tabletop decor for the event industry. With hundreds of linen styles to choose from, we are proud to be one of Canada's largest suppliers--serving social events, weddings, and corporate galas coast to coast.

We are currently seeking a

General Manager of Operations

to lead our growing team at our Woodbridge location. This role is hands-on, requires initiative, and is best suited for someone with deep event operations experience--specifically in rentals or decor. The schedule runs Sunday through Thursday, with extended hours often required during peak event seasons.

Key Responsibilities



Lead and oversee daily operations, including order fulfillment, inventory management, logistics, laundry, and warehouse workflow Drive quality control across all rental and linen products, ensuring error-free and on-time delivery Establish and monitor KPIs to measure accuracy, efficiency, and client satisfaction Identify and implement workflow improvements to increase productivity and reduce errors Manage budgeting and financial oversight for operational functions Oversee equipment maintenance schedules and vendor relationships Develop and enforce customer service standards, handling escalations with professionalism Build and maintain strong partnerships with venues, event planners, and clients Hire, train, and mentor team members while fostering a culture of accountability and hands-on leadership Uphold all health, safety, and sanitation standards across operations Other related duties as required

What We're Looking For



Proven leadership in event rentals, decor, or event operations (minimum 5 years in a senior role) Strong background in operations management, logistics, or production Demonstrated ability to work long hours and thrive under tight timelines Hands-on, proactive leader who leads by example and doesn't shy away from rolling up their sleeves Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize competing deadlines Strong financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, cost control) Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-first mentality Valid Ontario Driver's License with reliable transportation Physically capable of safely lifting up to 40 lbs. and being on your feet for long periods
