As a multi-location General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the continuous and profitable movement of products in and out of both facilities, and will provide overall management, coaching and delegation to staff members. The General Manager will be accountable for the overall operation and success of both facilities, including the customer experience and compliance with applicable health and food safety regulations.

Your day-to-day activities will include:

• Overseeing and directing the binning, blending, and grading of grain
• Maintaining compliance with all food safety documentation (i.e. HAACP, C-TPAT)
• Monitoring and maintaining proper profit and loss, and inventory management
• Quality reporting and sales projections
• Monitoring market developments and competition
• Providing management and coaching to staff, including a strong focus on staff development, succession planning and performance management
• Managing the preventative maintenance program
• P&L responsibilities, budget trends, and forecasting
• Customer service and public relations

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• 5-7 years\xe2\x80\x99 involvement in the operation of a grain elevator or crop inputs facility
• Diploma or Degree in business, agriculture, or certification in a related trade
• Certified Crop Advisor, P. Ag., or related designation is an asset
• Previous experience in a management level role with success in your ability to lead, mentor and develop staff
• Previous experience in customer relations and sales
• Knowledge of threats to storing grain and oilseed
• Knowledge and understanding of the grain / crop input businesses, markets, pricing, and world trends
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, high-volume work environment with competing priorities
• To be successful, you must be a strong decision-making, and have the ability to problem solve and delegate where needed to drive business results.
