Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our long-standing relationships with nation-wide convenience stores and major Canadian airlines, for whom we provide first and business-class tray set-ups.Position Summary:We are looking for a General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of Fresh Bites. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of food manufacturing, compliance with food safety standards, and a passion for delivering high-quality products. The GM will work closely with the Vice President, Strategy and ATCO\'s senior leadership team to drive operational excellence, enhance customer satisfaction, and ensure the continued growth and success of the company.Key Responsibilities:

• Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategies to drive growth, improve operational efficiencies, and expand market reach.
• Company Performance: Work with Fresh Bites ownership to align business strategies with the Company\'s vision and goals to achieve annual profitability targets.
• Operational Leadership: Oversee all aspects of production, including procurement, manufacturing, quality control, and distribution, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a diverse team of front office leaders and 40 production line employees.
• Team Culture: Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Customer Relations: Maintain and enhance relationships with key customers, including airlines, retail partners, and quick-service restaurant chains, ensuring customer needs are met with high-quality products and exceptional service.
• Value Creation: Drive new business opportunities from prospecting through to execution with consideration of per unit profitability.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant food safety regulations, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), as mandated by Alberta Health Services and the Public Health of Canada. Oversee regular inspections and audits.
• Financial Management: Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-saving measures to maximize profitability.
• Innovation: Identify and pursue opportunities for product innovation and customization to meet changing market demands.
• Risk Management: Anticipate and mitigate risks related to food safety, supply chain disruptions, and other operational challenges.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor\'s degree in Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a leadership role within the food manufacturing or food service industry.
• Experience driving sales and productivity through customer relationship management.
• Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices, particularly in relation to HAACP.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and achieving business growth.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
• Financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
