Next Level Group is an executive search firm partnering with Manufacturing companies throughout Canada and the US. We have been a driving force in the North American staffing industry since 2011. We built our staffing agency on the need for business and staffing solution partnerships in industries that are honest, ethical, and professional in their practices. We are currently looking for a General Manager for an industry leading client located in Charlottetown, PEI. The General Manager will report directly to the CEO and assume responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company. This role involves managing various departments and teams, ensuring their collaboration and maximizing overall productivity. Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage daily business operations.
  • Coordinate and schedule crews to maintain operational trucks with the required crew size.
  • Visit job sites regularly to assess productivity and address any issues that arise.
  • Foster effective communication and maintain relationships with customers.
  • Handle the hiring, onboarding, recognition, and disciplinary processes for the team.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and annual assessments.
  • Evaluate productivity and performance metrics, implementing strategies to drive improvement.
  • Prioritize, schedule, and assign work to General Foreman/Foreman/Managers based on urgency, workload, and available resources.
  • Develop and compile budgets.
  • Price and submit tenders for work, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines.
  • Procure necessary resources, such as equipment and trucks, to support business operations.
  • Participate in and contribute to Monthly Health and Safety/JOSH Meetings and Staff Meetings.
  • Mediate and resolve sensitive issues concerning relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.
  • Coordinate storm response calls.
  • Foster a safe and productive workplace environment.
Qualifications
  • Ability to effectively promote the organization's core values.
  • Excellent skills in managing and motivating people.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in a managerial role is considered an asset.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Proficient in strategic planning.
  • Understanding of budget control and organizational finances.
  • Ability to effectively train and coach employees.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
