We are seeking an experienced and passionate
Hotel General Manager
to lead our dedicated team and uphold the standards of the Hyatt brand and Mundi Hotels operational vision.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strategic leadership and direction for all hotel operations, ensuring the highest levels of guest satisfaction and brand compliance.
Lead, mentor, and motivate department heads to achieve operational and financial goals.
Oversee daily operations in Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales, and Engineering to maintain service excellence and consistency in accordance with Hyatt brand standards.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
Foster a culture of accountability, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
Maintain positive relationships with guests, team members, ownership, and the local community.
Cooperating with Head Office and the Regional Operations Manager through regular updates, reports, payroll submission, and oversight of onsite accounting functions.
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual budgets, monitoring labor and operating costs, and ensuring efficient expenditure.
Strategizing with the Director of Sales to grow business opportunities and revenue through effective marketing initiative.
Leading recruitment, training, and performance management of staff, while fostering a positive and professional workplace culture.
Monitoring accounts receivable, guest feedback systems, online presence, and loyalty programs to maintain exceptional guest satisfaction.
Acting as mentor and leader to all hotel employees, ensuring high service standards and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel management experience, including at least 2 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role within a branded hotel.
Prior experience with Hyatt brands preferred.
Hotel pre-opening experience considered an asset.
Proven track record of achieving financial, operational, and guest satisfaction goals.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to build and lead high-performing teams with a focus on service and engagement.
Proficiency with hotel management systems (Hyatt's systems such as Opera or Envision an asset).
Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
