Our client operates a truly iconic lodge located in one of Western Canada's most breathtaking national parks. Known for its warm, authentic approach to hospitality, attention to detail, and elevated culinary experiences, the lodge offers an unparalleled guest experience in a protected UNESCO World Heritage setting. They are seeking a General Manager to lead operations, inspire a high-performing team, and uphold a culture that blends genuine hospitality with stewardship of a remarkable natural environment. The General Manager will oversee all aspects of lodge operations and ensure delivery of the organization's mission: to create an exceptional guest experience through genuine connection, professionalism, and care.
This is a hands-on, seasonal on-site leadership role requiring full-time residency during winter and summer operating seasons. The GM will act as the key ambassador for the lodge-balancing guest satisfaction, team leadership, operational performance, and long-term strategic objectives.

Description
Leadership & Culture
Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture built on collaboration and respect
Model the lodge's values in daily operations, guest interactions, and team engagement
Mentor and develop staff to deliver world-class guest experiences
Guest Experience
Ensure consistent excellence across all touchpoints-from arrival to departure
Maintain high service standards and oversee the delivery of personalized guest care
Support programming that enhances the lodge's connection to its natural surroundings
Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day operations, including lodging, food & beverage, reservations, and maintenance
Manage infrastructure, capital planning, and vendor relations to ensure smooth operations
Partner with culinary leadership to maintain exceptional dining standards centered on local, seasonal ingredients
Financial & Strategic Oversight
Develop and manage annual operating budgets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
Monitor key metrics (ADR, occupancy, profitability, guest satisfaction)
Lead continuous improvement in processes, systems, and performance analytics
Marketing & Brand Stewardship
Collaborate with marketing to build awareness, drive repeat business, and strengthen brand identity
Support storytelling through social media, digital platforms, and on-site experiences
Explore special event opportunities such as retreats, weddings, or exclusive gatherings
Stakeholder Relations
Liaise with external partners including park authorities, suppliers, and local communities
Maintain the lodge's strong reputation as a responsible and respectful operator within a world-class natural environment
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of senior hospitality leadership experience in boutique or remote settings
Proven record of leading diverse teams and cultivating inclusive, positive workplace culture
Strong financial management acumen including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L oversight
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; calm and decisive under pressure
A balance of strategic mindset and hands-on operational leadership
Passion for mountain life, adventure, and sustainability
