This position is primarily responsible for the machining of parts for agitator assembly and/or for the assembly of these parts to create agitation equipment. This includes the confirmation for accuracy both before assembly and after assembly to ensure proper tolerance and adherence to MixPro Quality Assurance Program.

1) Confirming the suitability of the piece of material, whether pre-fabricated (welded) or raw sourced, for the machining operation required.
2) Ensuring the finished part is suitable for use in the next stage of fabrication or assembly by verifying the actual dimensions to the fabrication drawing of that part.
3) Ensure the part or assembly is of the highest quality possible from the machining or assembly stage of fabrication.
4) Ensure the work area and equipment are kept clean and creates a safe work environment.
5) Other duties as may be assigned.

Determining that the manufacturing drawing contains the appropriate information to allow the safe manufacture of the part assigned.
Ensuring the part / material to be machined has no issues (ie. holes not too close to edge of material; raw material quality) with regards to the final creation of the piece to be machined.
Determining the manufactured / purchased parts received are suitable for the assembly operation.
Ensuring the equipment is kept in good operating fashion and is safe for operation.

There is presently a Quality Assurance Program in place which deals with non-conforming parts which eliminates any decision making requirements from the incumbent. Interpersonal skills are greatly advantageous.
