Position Summary:
We are looking for a reliable
General Labourer/Handyman
to perform essential minor repair and upkeep tasks throughout our facilities. In this position, you will be responsible for a wide variety of activities such as repairs, maintenance upkeep and cleaning to ensure that our facilities are safely operational, tidy and functional. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional evenings, weekends and holidays as required.
What you will do:
Perform minor maintenance tasks, including repairing broken locks, patching wall damage, replacing light bulbs, touch-up painting etc.
Assist in the installation of appliances and equipment as required.
Unload deliveries/materials from trucks and place them at the proper location on site.
Ensure working area is clean and ready for contractors.
Safely lift and carry materials up to 40 lbs.
Ensure adherence to health and safety protocols and standards.
What you will bring:
1-2 year's experience as a general labourer / handyman or other similar position.
Demonstrated experience and knowledge working as a handyman fixing minor repairs.
Experience working with tools, including hand and electrical tools.
Excellent English communication skills both verbally and written.
Good problem-solving ability with a keen eye for detail.
Must be reliable and self-motivated.
Must be a team player with good interpersonal skills and also be able to work independently as required.
Valid Class 5F Manitoba Driver's License
Access to a vehicle is an asset.
