Position Summary

We are seeking motivated

General Labourers

to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside carpenters and tradespeople on active residential and commercial job sites. Your responsibilities will include site preparation, material handling, tool operation, and assisting with framing and structural tasks.

This is a

Key Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with framing tasks (walls, floors, trusses, sheathing, etc.) Load, unload, and organize materials, tools, and equipment Clean and prepare job sites, including debris removal and sweeping Safely and efficiently operate power tools, saws, nail guns, and other equipment Measure, cut, and fasten lumber and other materials under supervision Set up and dismantle temporary structures, scaffolding, and barricades Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Foreman or Lead Carpenter

Qualifications

Previous construction or framing experience is an asset but not required Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working with hand and power tools (training provided if needed) Reliable transportation to job sites in Winnipeg and surrounding areas Strong work ethic, punctuality, and team-oriented attitude Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Must provide CSA-approved work boots and appropriate PPE

Work Schedule & Compensation

Monday to Friday, 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (overtime available after 40 hours/week) Full-time, permanent position Vacation pay included in each paycheck Semi-monthly pay (15th and last day of the month) Additional compensation for out-of-town work Benefits package eligibility after 6 months of employment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$25.00 per hour
