Greystone Atlantic Properties is looking for a reliable, hard-working

General Labourer

to support our property management team with construction projects, renovations, and ongoing maintenance across our residential buildings. You will work directly under an experienced carpenter and be trained on-site. This is a great role for someone who has basic tool knowledge, enjoys hands-on work, and wants to grow their skills in the trades.

Key Responsibilities

Assist carpenters with day-to-day construction and renovation tasks Carry, load, and unload building materials, supplies, and tools Perform basic demolition, cleanup, and site prep Use hand tools and simple power tools safely (training provided) Support maintenance tasks such as patching, painting, unit turnarounds, assembling fixtures, etc. Help transport materials to and from job sites Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Follow direction and work efficiently within a team Communicate clearly with the construction manager, carpenters and property management team

Requirements

Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instruction Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and completing manual labor tasks Basic familiarity with hand tools (e.g., hammer, drill, tape measure) Willingness to learn and take feedback Valid driver's license and access to transportation (an asset, not mandatory) Ability to work in a variety of environments (indoor units, outdoors, basements, etc.) Safety-minded and respectful of tenant spaces

Nice-to-Haves (Not Required)

Experience in general carpentry, construction, or maintenance Comfort using basic power tools Experience with rental unit turnovers or property management environments
