Position Summary:

The General Labourer is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support facility operations, including cleaning, light maintenance, grounds keeping, pallet building, and assisting with deliveries and material handling. The role requires a reliable individual with a valid G driver's license who can safely operate company vehicles, forklifts, and cranes as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform general cleaning of work areas, production spaces, and common areas. Conduct light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting, and basic equipment upkeep. Maintain outdoor grounds including lawn care, snow removal, and general site tidiness. Build, repair, and organize pallets as required for production or shipping. Operate company vehicles to perform local pick-ups and deliveries. Safely operate material handling equipment including forklifts and overhead cranes. Assist with loading and unloading materials and products. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Report any maintenance or safety concerns to the Supervisor promptly. Support other departments and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Valid Ontario G driver's license with a clean driving record. Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain). Experience operating cranes considered an asset. Physically capable of performing manual labour, including lifting up to 50 lbs. Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.

Work Conditions:

Indoor manufacturing and outdoor work environment. May be exposed to noise, dust, and changing weather conditions. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
