Summary



We are looking for an efficient and safety-minded General Labourer to help with our manufacturing and operations department. The General Labourer is responsible for building pallets, assisting with the manual aspects of shipping, and supporting general manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate would be able to work with moderate supervision, have their forklift license, and be familiar with working in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities



Pallet Building: Build and assemble pallets to ensure the proper storage and transportation of materials and finished products. Ensure pallets are stable, properly packed, and ready to ship. Shipping Assistance: Assist with the manual tasks related to shipping, including loading and unloading materials and products, preparing items for shipment, and organizing shipments for delivery. Inventory Management Support: Help track and manage inventory during the shipping process to ensure all materials are accounted for and handled correctly. General Manufacturing Support: Assist with general manufacturing tasks as needed, such as material handling, part organization, or maintenance of work areas. Report errors in drawings/BOMs/routings to lead hands/supervisors. Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensuring safe practices while operating machinery and handling materials. Maintenance and Housekeeping: Perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks to ensure the work area, equipment, and tools are well-maintained and organized. Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the manufacturing and shipping operations. Forklift Operation (if the successful candidate has a forklift license): Operate a forklift to move materials, parts, and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility. Ensure safe operation and adherence to company safety protocols. Must lift up to 50lbs when required. May be required to do additional tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills



Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, or a similar role.

Skills:

Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and lift up to 50lbs. Forklift license is an asset. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2-4 weeks

Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
