Summary:

Blue Falls Manufacturing ("BFM") is currently looking for one (1) full-time General Laborer to join its spa cover construction team based out of the company's "Mudry" facility in Thorsby, Alberta.

Reporting to the Mudry Lead Hand and Supervisor, this hands-on role focuses on the construction of hot tub covers for Arctic Spas. This is a fast-paced position that aims to keep pace with the production of the corresponding hot tubs, for which the covers are made. No experience is required; members of the existing team provide on the job training.

Work/life balance is part of BFM's philosophy; this position operates Monday thru Friday, 6:00AM- 2:30PM. Hours of work are subject to some fluctuation, in alignment with the prevailing production schedule. Occasional overtime may be required.

Duties:

Construct insulated Mylovac(TM) hot tub covers Move and lift foam insert and stuff metal/poly packaging material Utilize vacuum and heat-sealing processes to seal packaged foam Prepare vinyl skin via heating process so that it becomes pliable enough to stretch in order to accommodate metal/poly sealed foam insert Wrap finished spa cover in protective packaging; bag and secure seal Palletize; send cover for shipping General warehouse duties: sorting, moving, stacking, and palletizing of cover building materials Clean-up; proper disposal of excess packaging materials/refuse; sweeping, etc. Load, unload, sort, and move shipments manually or using material handling equipment such as a forklift or pallet jack.

Skills/Abilities:

Receptive to learning Ability to work both under supervision and autonomously Excellent attendance and punctuality Physically fit with good mobility and manual dexterity Able to stand for sustained periods over an eight (8) hour day Capable of performing repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment Ability to push/pull and/or lift up to 50lbs unassisted; tandem lift up to 80lbs

Experience/Qualifications:

No experience required; on the job training provided Experience utilizing material handling equipment i.e. forklift, pallet jack, etc. considered an asset.

Work Environment:

Primarily indoors (warehouse); periodic outdoor exposure when bay door(s) opened and closed May be exposed to dust/particulates, fumes/chemicals, varying noise levels

Compensation/Benefits:
