Job Description

Allstyle Cabinet Doors is seeking skilled

General Labourers

to join our team. This position involves building and shaping custom cabinet doors using machines and hand tools. You will either operate woodworking machines to cut and prepare parts, and/or assemble the door pieces together by hand. The job requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work with wood safely and accurately. You'll work as part of a team to help create high-quality cabinet doors for customers.

Responsibilities:



Machine Operator - Cabinet Door Manufacturing



Operate Machinery

Run CNC machines, edge banders, sanders, and saws used in cabinet door production.

Run dovetail machine, such as OMEC750 as well as table saws.

Set up and calibrate machines according to job specifications.

Read Blueprints and Work Orders:

Interpret drawings and production instructions to ensure accurate machining.

Material Handling:

Load raw materials (wood, MDF, etc.) into machines.

Monitor inventory of materials and notify supervisor of low stock.

Quality Control:

Inspect machined components for defects, accuracy, and proper dimensions.

Make necessary adjustments to machines to maintain quality standards.

Preventive Maintenance:

Clean and maintain machines daily.

Report mechanical issues or irregularities for repair.

Safety Compliance:

Follow company safety policies and use PPE.

Keep the work area clean and organized.

Door Assembler - Cabinet Door Manufacturing



Assemble Cabinet Doors:

Fit and glue door frame components (rails and stiles).

Insert centre panels and ensure proper alignment and squareness.

Use Hand and Power Tools:

Operate clamps, drills, nail guns, and other tools to assemble doors efficiently and safely.

Quality Inspection:

Check assembled doors for gaps, misalignment, and cosmetic defects.

Sand and touch up components to meet finishing requirements.

Finishing Prep:

Prepare doors for finishing by sanding, cleaning, and labeling.

Labeling and Packaging:

Properly label finished doors according to job tickets.

Package completed doors for shipping or transfer to finishing department.

Team Coordination:

Work with other team members and departments to meet production deadlines.

Communicate any production issues to leads or supervisors.

Qualifications & Skills:



High School Diploma or GED

(preferred but not always required)

1-2 years of experience

in woodworking, cabinetry, or a manufacturing environment (preferred)

Basic math skills

- ability to read a tape measure, do fractions/decimals

Attention to detail

- especially for quality inspection and precision assembly

Ability to read and interpret blueprints

, job tickets, or production drawings

Physical stamina

- ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks

Strong work ethic

- dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment

Team player

- good communication skills and willingness to collaborate with others

Safety Awareness

- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and proper handling of chemicals and coatings.
Machine Operation:

Experience operating CNC routers, dovetail OMEC750 machines, edge banders, panel saws, or other woodworking machines Basic mechanical aptitude - able to make minor adjustments and troubleshoot machine issues Knowledge of machine safety practices Ability to perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Door Assembly:

Experience with wood door or frame assembly, cabinetmaking, or furniture assembly Familiarity with hand and power tools (drills, clamps, sanders, nail guns) Ability to maintain proper glue and clamp times, squareness, and panel fit Experience with sanding and prepping doors for finishing is a plus
