We are currently seeking dedicated and physically fit individuals to fill permanent, full-time positions as General Labourers. • Assist in various farm labour duties on site
• Operate equipment in the processing plant/canary seed line
• Grade product as received
• Process raw material into the finished product
• Ensure all product leaves are in quality form
• Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment as needed
• Assist with yard and processing plant housekeeping, including snow removal to ensure access to and from the facility is not compromised
• Ensure product trough storage is maintained and cleaned
• Follow all instructions and guidelines to complete work tasks
• Perform other duties as assigned Requirements and Qualifications:
• Experience in grain handling would be a benefit
• Background in agriculture and/or general knowledge of equipment is an asset
• Must be physically fit and comfortable working outside for long periods of time
• Able to kneel, lift, stand and walk throughout the shift
• Available to commit to full-time hours (40 hours / week)
• Punctual, dependable, and reliable with the willingness to learn
• Able to communicate well with management and coworkers
• Work well as a part of a team or independently
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
