The General Laborer is responsible for supporting daily operations at a hauling company, transfer station, materials recycling facility (MRF), or landfill. This position performs a variety of physical and operational tasks to maintain cleanliness, efficiency, and safety of the worksite. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform general site maintenance, including yard clean-up and debris removal
Fuel vehicles and heavy equipment as required
Operate basic site vehicles and equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Assist with traffic control and direct vehicles within the facility
Support loading, unloading, and sorting of recyclable or waste materials
Conduct general maintenance tasks in office or facility buildings
Monitor site for safety or environmental concerns and report any issues
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and safety standards
Perform other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in general labor, construction, or waste management an asset
Ability to perform physical tasks in various weather conditions
Strong work ethic and reliability
Basic understanding of safety practices and equipment operation
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid driver's license may be required depending on location
