Job Summary

Kamloops Junk Haulers is seeking a motivated and dependable Labourer to join our team. This role will start in January as an on-call position with guaranteed minimum weekly hours, moving to a regular part-time schedule (with the opportunity for more hours) as business picks up in the early spring. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, dependable, and have a professional demeanor.

Duties

Load, lift, and remove furniture, appliances, construction debris, and miscellaneous junk from residential and commercial properties Carry items safely from homes, businesses, and job sites to the truck or trailer Work as part of a team to complete junk removal jobs efficiently and professionally Sort and organize materials for disposal, recycling, or donation as directed Maintain a clean and organized job site during and after each removal Follow proper lifting techniques and workplace safety procedures at all times Interact respectfully and professionally with customers and the general public Assist the driver and team lead with job setup and breakdown as needed Protect customer property by using care when moving items through doorways, hallways, and tight spaces Perform physically demanding work, including frequent lifting, bending, carrying, and walking Represent the company positively while on job sites and in customer-facing environments

Requirements

Physically capable of performing manual labour, including frequent lifting, carrying, and moving of heavy items Able to lift

50-75 lbs repeatedly

throughout the workday Reliable, punctual, and able to work well as part of a team Professional, respectful, and courteous when interacting with customers and the general public Strong work ethic and willingness to follow instructions Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment Able to work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions Basic understanding of workplace safety and proper lifting techniques Able to follow company policies and safety procedures Legally eligible to work in Canada

Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
