Job Description

Lake of Bays Excavation is looking for a motivated Labourer / Operator to join our growing team. We specialize in hardscaping, excavation, and tree work, delivering high-quality projects across Muskoka and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our crews on job sites, operating equipment, and assisting with a wide variety of tasks that keep our projects running smoothly. This role requires physical stamina, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Duties

Assist in the loading and unloading of stone, equipment, and materials for excavation and hardscaping projects Work alongside our arborist crew, helping with tree removals and site cleanup Perform general maintenance and keep job sites organized and safe Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment effectively and safely Support skilled team members with hardscape installations (flagstone, retaining walls, steps, patios) and excavation work Follow directions from supervisors and contribute to efficient project completion Adhere to all safety protocols and company standards Participate in training to develop new skills and grow with the company
Qualifications

Previous experience in construction, landscaping, tree work, or other labour-intensive roles is an asset but not required Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work outdoors in varying conditions Comfortable with physical tasks and operating tools/equipment Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Willingness to learn new skills in hardscaping, excavation, and arborist work A valid driver's license is an asset, but not mandatory
