Key Responsibilities:
oDemonstrate a safety-first mindset in all tasks.
oWork independently with minimal oversight, while following directions closely.
oCommunicate effectively with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
oSafely and responsibly operate various hand and power tools, as well as welding machines.
oProvide material handling support within the manufacturing environment.
oPrepare and paint boilers as the final step in the manufacturing process.
oCare for and maintain a fully equipped industrial paint booth.
oMaintain shop cleanliness.
oPerform other general tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
oMaterial handling
oSupporting shipping and receiving functions
oLoading and unloading equipment onto trucks, cranes, and trailers
oSupporting trades in the manufacturing of boilers and auxiliary equipment
oPerform other duties as required by supervisor or designate
Skills, Abilities and Experience:
oIndustrial maintenance experience is an asset.
o1-3 years of previous work experience in a mechanical, industrial or manufacturing environment.
oStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to be a team player.
oPrevious experience with crane and forklift operation, WHMIS training, confined space, and fall arrest training.
oValid driver's license required.
oMust be physically capable of performing all work required of this position, i.e. occasional lifting up to shoulder height, frequent bending, occasional squatting/kneeling, working inside and outside in all types of weather.
