General Labourer


The General Labourer position is responsible for performing a variety of tasks that support the Lean, 5S and Continuous Improvement programs. This position may be assigned to a particular production area and accountable for cleaning work areas and equipment and perform other tasks as needed.

Performance Expectations

Maintenance of the 5S Program through painting lines within the plant as needed. Assist with janitorial duties when janitors are absent from work. Perform maintenance tasks as assigned by Maintenance Supervisor or designate. Small fabrication tasks, assist with general building maintenance. Ability to solve issues as they arise, and work with team to solve day to day issues

Credentials

High School Diploma or equivalent general education. Able to use and safely operate a variety hand and power tools.

Desired Characteristics

Able to communicate with co-workers to exchange information about tasks and to coordinate work. Ability to work mainly independently and in team to carry out tasks which require cooperation, such as lifting heavy objects. Learn continuously on the job through workplace training.
