JOB GRADE: Grade 1Start date; October 15th, 2024McCain Foods (Canada) is currently looking for a Temporary General Labourer for 3-4 weeks.If you like fast-paced work, enjoy trouble shooting and working with others apply today!QUALIFICATIONS:

• Grade 12 or GED would be considered an asset
• Previous experience in all aspects of Potato Grader/General Labourer would be considered an asset.
• Team player with excellent attendance and safety record.
• Strong interpersonal Skills and communication skills.
• Must be able to work shifts on a rotating basis
• Physically capable of performing all job duties (e.g., lifting app. 35 lbs as required) \xe2\x80\x9cSamples Baskets\xe2\x80\x9d
• Ability to accept and embrace change in the day to day operations in a professional manner.
• Able to work with cleaning chemicals

DUTIES:

• Determine the total weight of two samples collected from potato trucks using a weigh scale, then washing samples insuring nothing is lost (i.e. potatoes, rocks, any foreign material) and take washed sample to potato graders with the total weight.
• Process samples and record sample data such as: tuber count, average length, average width, colour sampling.
• Must comply with HACCP rules and regulations
• Attend team meetings as required
• Must follow \xe2\x80\x9cGood Manufacturing Practices\xe2\x80\x9d (GMP\xe2\x80\x99s)
• Must wear proper PPE\xe2\x80\x99s at all times.
• Other duties as assigned.
