Job Description

Responsible for performing a variety physical labour tasks in order to assist with the completion of Masonry, Tile, Design-Build Landscape, Decks & Fencing projects, using a variety of tools and equipment. The general labourer will perform the following duties:
Operate various hand tools, power tools, and equipment used to complete carpentry and masonry duties, including: chainsaws, jackhammers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.
Mix, pour and spread concrete
Perform land clearing activities
Load and unload materials, tools and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects
Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies and hand lifting/carrying
Assist Foreman with job-related tasks
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
Show avidness to learn/be trained in a variety of trade skills
All candidates must have:
High school diploma, GED or equivalent
Effective communications skills (verbal and written)
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire shift
Ability to work in a fast paced environment with excellent stamina
Ability to work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise and cold
Flexible working hours including occasional weekend work
