We are looking for a hardworking and versatile General Laborer with occasional forklift operation responsibilities to join our busy warehouse team. The ideal candidate will assist with various warehouse tasks, working on and off the production line sorting/grading, packaging, boxing, moving materials, organizing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe workspace. This role also requires occasional operation of a forklift to include loading/unloading of trucks as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Follow guidelines to accurately and quickly sort and grade material
Safely operate production line equipment not limited to circular saw, brander, and shrink wrap machine
Pick, wrap, and stage orders accurately for shipping or delivery according to pick lists or shipping orders.
Assist in inventory control by maintaining accurate records of goods moved in and out of the warehouse, conducting stock checks, and reporting discrepancies.
Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment to move products,
materials, and pallets to and from production, storage areas, loading docks, and delivery vehicles.
Efficiently load and unload products from trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring goods are handled with care and accuracy
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring that aisles are clear, and materials are stored securely to prevent accidents
Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols, including proper use of equipment, wearing appropriate PPE, and following OSHA guidelines. Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Supervisor
Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the forklift and other warehouse equipment. Report any malfunctions or needed repairs
Work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks
REQUIREMENTS
Self-starter, ability to work with minimum supervision
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize
Strong oral and written communication in English; you will be working with remote colleagues
Forklift certified in British Columbia, or the ability to be certified upon hiring
EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus
Experience with mechanical equipment and production line operation
A valid BC driver's license
