Job Overview

: The General Labourer focuses on ensuring all facility areas are kept in excellent condition to support a clean, efficient, and secure operational environment. The General Labourer supports the operations and technical teams by carrying out cleaning duties, assisting with basic facility upkeep, and following strict safety and security protocols.


We have grown substantially since 2019, from our inception in Australia to now having several facilities across North America and being listed on NASDAQ... and we are just getting started! Job requirements

Previous experience in commercial/industrial setting preferred but not necessary. Strong understanding of workplace safety practices. Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, standing, and operating cleaning equipment. Reliability and punctuality with a strong work ethic. Comfort working around technical equipment (training will be provided). Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.

Job responsibilities

Perform daily cleaning and upkeep of data center areas, including floors, walls, windows, and common spaces. Maintain cleanliness of high-traffic areas, equipment rooms, and storage spaces while respecting sensitive technical equipment. Safely handle and dispose of waste, recyclables, and packaging materials according to company and environmental guidelines. Snow removal during winter months. Weed removal, painting, Etc. Assist with organizing and maintaining supplies, tools, and materials in designated areas. Support routine inspections of facility cleanliness and promptly report any issues or hazards to the supervisor. Follow strict safety procedures when working near sensitive HPC systems, cabling, and infrastructure. Assist the operations team with light general labour tasks as needed (e.g., moving supplies, basic maintenance support). Ensure all work complies with IREN's health, safety, and environmental standards. Assist with upgrade and retrofit projects when necessary. May be asked to assist tradespeople if they need help.

Ensures spaces are consistently clean and organized. Shows up fit for duty consistently and takes ownership of assigned tasks. Always follow protocols to protect self, others, and sensitive data center equipment. Willing to take on a variety of cleaning and general support tasks. Works cooperatively with operations and technical teams. Respects the confidentiality and security of the facility.
