Reporting to the site Journeyperson and Operations Manager, the General Labourer will be hands-on across a variety of industrial sites, helping out with day-to-day tasks to keep everything running smoothly. This role involves a mix of physical labour, cleanup, and supporting trades as needed. Centralized around Vernon, BC, it's a great fit for someone who's reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

Key responsibilities include:Assisting tradespeople and other team members on-site with a variety of tasks; Performing general site cleanup, including debris removal and equipment tidying; Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment; Operating basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently; Monitoring hot work areas and performing firewatch duties as required; Helping with equipment setup and teardown as needed; Following all site safety procedures and wearing proper PPE at all times; Performing physical labour in various weather conditions and environments.

The ideal candidate is someone who shows up with a good attitude, ready to work and contribute to the team. You must be reliable, dependable, and consistently show up on time. You take direction well and bring a strong work ethic to every shift. You're safety-focused, comfortable working in physically demanding environments, and open to learning new skills on the job. Experience on industrial or construction sites is a bonus, especially if you've done firewatch, but a willingness to learn and stay alert is just as important. You're a team player who is willing to help wherever needed and takes pride in doing quality work.

Our Must Haves

Owns personal hand tools and approved footwear; Hold a valid Class 5 Driver's License and has reliable transportation; Experience working in industrial environments is considered an asset.

Wage:

$20.00-$30.00 per hour Please note - the listed hourly rate is dependent on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process.*
