Job Description

GENERAL PURPOSE

:

The General Labourer provides support across various departments, assisting with varied, and at times, physically demanding tasks as needed. These duties are performed under the supervision and guidance of experienced staff or supervisor.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain awareness of critical control points, as they relate to product liability. Demonstrate responsible and diligent work habits throughout each shift. Ensure compliance with Canada Labour Occupational Health and Safety regulations, as well as all company safety policies and procedures. Follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times while performing job duties and tasks. Participate in additional job duties and tasks, including training when required. Adapt to evolving department needs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent. Aptitude and experience with computerized electronics and tablets. Must be a self-starter, with the ability to use initiative, but also able to work as part of a team. Mechanical aptitude for diagnosing/solving problems with or without help from maintenance. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively, and work in hot and/or dusty environments. Available for shift work as well as work on weekends, holidays, and call outs as required. Good cooperative working relationship with management and fellow employees. Ability to work with minimal supervision and take direction from several supervisors
