Job Description

We are looking for enthusiastic and safety conscious individuals to join our team as Rebar Fabricators.

Purpose: Bend, cut, bundle and load reinforcing steel bars in accordance with customer's orders. This is an entry level position, and the incumbent may operate various machines and equipment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor Harris Rebar's vision and values
• Operate a shearing machine to cut reinforcing steel bars
• Operate a bending machine to cut reinforcing steel bars to a specified shape
• Operate an overhead crane to move, assemble and select material to be fabricated or shipped
• Load and unload trailers and store material in storage bins
• Assemble and load orders onto trailers for shipping
• Maintain the shop or designated area in a clean and safe manner
• Assist other teammates in any of the above tasks
• Inspect equipment and put safety at the forefront of all actions and decision making

Minimum Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must have basic math skills to calculate bar measurements
• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demands

• Must be able to safely lift 50 pounds, some heavy lifting may be necessary
• Working conditions can be noisy/dusty/hot/cold

Special Demands

• Overtime hours may be required to accommodate operational demands
• Must be able to work any shift and have flexibility with changes to start times
• Must be familiar with and adhere to shop safety policies and procedures
