Full-time permanent position

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma, or equivalent education and experience.

KEY CHARACTERISTICS OF POSITION:

This position requires some understanding of AC and DC motor components, some mechanical inspection knowledge, basic understanding of simple machining processes, and basic mechanical assembly techniques.

DUTIES:

1) Wear all personal protective equipment identified for work area and task

2) Understand job safety hazards

3) Disassemble, and clean AC and DC motors and components

4) Some understanding of dimensions on mechanical drawings

5) Perform basic mechanical inspection using micrometers, calipers, and inside micrometers

6) Properly record measurement results and sign off

7) Remove and install mechanical and electrical components

8) Drill and install thread inserts

9) Fabricate electrical cables as required

10) Packaging and preparation for shipping

11) Other tasks in the related work area as requested

REQUIRED PROFICIENCIES:

1) Some mechanical aptitude

2) Basic understanding of AC, and DC motor components, assemblies

3) Understanding basic electrical testing processes

4) Must be able to properly record electrical testing results as needed

5) Ability to identify and validate specific materials, and part numbers

6) Have good manual dexterity

7) Must be very detail oriented

8) Ability to stand for prolonged periods

9) Able to lift to 50 lbs.

10) Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, on a regular basis

11) Bridge crane operation and load rigging

12) Must be able to follow a production process

Will provide training
