Skyepoxy Inc. is an established Ontario based floor coatings company specializing in residential, commercial, and industrial epoxy coatings and concrete polishing. We are searching for motivated and dependable individuals who would like to start or continue a career in the flooring industry. We currently have an opening for Epoxy Floor Coatings Applicator and are looking to hire immediately. Key Components of the Role Include:

Epoxy installation and concrete polishing
Trowel-downs, coving, mixing, taping, and sealing
Finish coating, back roll, vacuuming
Set up mixing area, organize product, mix material to precise measurement, track usage when complete
Floor prep hand grinding, vacuuming, sweeping, joint filling and general clean-up
Run planetary grinder
Read specifications to determine quantities of materials required
Always follow all health and safety guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned

Experience:

- 1-2 years labour experience working in construction/concrete finishing or epoxy (preferred)
- Residential/Commercial/Industrial construction experience (not required but an asset)

Though prior experience in the coatings industry and/or construction industry would be a great asset, thorough training for this position will be provided. We are ultimately looking for candidates who have a great work ethic, a positive attitude, and who are eager to learn and grow.

Job Requirements:

- Valid Driver's License (G, G2)
- Must have your own reliable vehicle to get to our shop each day
- Tooling: You must be comfortable operating floor and hand grinders, brushes/paint rollers and mixing sticks, shop vacs/dust extractors, spike shoes as well as all other tooling and PPE associated with epoxy floor coatings and polished concrete
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Able to work occasional weekends
- Willingness to travel (2 hrs north or south of Barrie, paid)
- Company paid travel (travel time, hotel and per diem)
- Education: Secondary School (Preferred)

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.50-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week
