Job Summary

We at Farlinger Farms are seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to assist on our Sustainable Christmas Tree Farm over the busy Christmas Season. The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to complete a variety of tasks on a day to day basis. Being friendly and personable is an asset as you will be taking on a customer facing role and assisting with our Christmas Tree sales. Being familiar and comfortable with and around tools and machinery is an asset. This position is season and part time, with potential to become full time and permanent for the right candidate.

Duties

Assist in lifting, loading and moving trees in farm nursery (50lb) Work indoor and outdoors in all conditions Utilize hand tools and power tools if needed Assist with the movement of materials within shop Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals Follow all company policies regarding safety protocols and operational procedures Assist customers with Christmas Tree sales and help educate them on how our sustainable trees work Manage taking payment and deposits for Christmas Trees

Qualifications

Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred. Familiarity with farm tools is preferred Mechanical knowledge is beneficial for troubleshooting equipment issues. Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Ability to lift 50lb is required Ability to work outdoors in winter weather conditions is required Drivers license and personal vehicle is required Schedule flexibility to work weekends and evenings may be required
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
